(For Paco Gisbert ) - More than a year, Ruben dos Santos (Barcelona, 1975) began filming " Psycho killer ", a thriller that mixed horror and eroticism in the line of his previous works," The footprint of desire "and" The wages of sin. " For three months, uninterruptedly, Ruben sequences filmed what was to be the film, like a puzzle that can only be set in your brain in the editing room. A long illness cut short the planned shooting plan by Dos Santos, who remained for nearly eight months away from the broadcast world, which has been working since her teens. From that convalescence, Ruben came up with a project increased and improved, with a very different view of what would eventually "Psycho killer".
The new "Psycho killer" has been around the concept that the same film had its own director. Before it was an erotic thriller in which sex was a fundamental element of the plot, now is a conventional film, low budget, the important thing is its plot, in which splashes sex action, as an element of development.
Since mid March, Dos Santos has resumed the shooting of his film with the same cadence with which he has always worked: filming discontinuously, in spare time, at intervals that allow business partners or sponsors to use their facilities or services.
And a few days ago, Ruben contacted me to offer a small cameo in the film. I'm not an actor (and if it were an actor would be horrendous), but I have provided to assist in bit parts in many types of movies, always friendly, although I have won quite dodgy papers: unscrupulous businessman ("Syndrome labor "by Sigfrid Monleón), client of a brothel (" I bitch, "de Luna), journalist (" The case of Mark Rivera, "Peter Uris, and" My Father "by Giancarlo Candiano) or police (a episode of the fictional "All 100" and "Psycho killer"). I try to muddle through as I can, behaving like an actor, but really is a pathetic helper.
On July 4th shot the sequence in which Reuben I had booked a role with the conventional film actor and photographer Toni Corvillo Peter Paisal. It was, of course (if not even imagine being an actor, let alone porn star), in a sequence of so-called "comedy" by X film professionals, but the rest of the film industry calls "dramatic." And in that day of shooting on a hot Barcelona, Ruben dos Santos understood that seeks to open new avenues of exploitation of erotic cinema through a film whose main label is to be independent. Films made with much effort, with the help of friends, without money but with imagination. Film trying to find a gap in the preferences of the viewer through films which mix various genres, from horror "gore" to the erotic, to the romantic comedy, action or black film.
And for that, Ruben has completed a list with more than 40 actors from various sources, from television or movies to porn, from friends and acquaintances to the independent theater. A hodgepodge of characters for a film that Dos Santos ambitious not loose garment: only those who participate in it know the part that touches us.
