Interview with Juli Simon: "We had to preserve the image of FICEB and turn it into something decaffeinated"
It was almost impossible to get good content, a good list of side events, a good list of international artists and get a good logistics for the 2009 International Festival of Erotic Cinema in Barcelona . And in the end we opted for "a good retreat, before a thousand defeats." It was much more important to preserve the good international image FICEB that make it an event not contented decaffeinated anyone. En uno de los tus comentarios en EstrellasDelPorno.com, comentabas que “el porno español sufre una crisis que va mas allá de una cuestión coyuntural que afecta al modelo, y que a su vez afecta al tipo de producto”. Detállanos un poco más lo que querías decir con esta frase.
-El modelo actual, como yo lo veo, es un modelo basado en la red. En la red tú puedes vender películas y puedes vender de muchas maneras distintas, cosa que en un SexShop o en las televisiones no. Cuando ves que Internet es el modelo a seguir, hace que a la hora de plantear la creatividad de los productos y la estrategia de contenidos pues el modelo cambie. ¿Porqué?, pues porque alguien tiene que ser capaz de hacer una buena película porno de seis minutos. Si hay un director que es capaz de hacer una buena película porno de una hora y media, también tiene que ser un buen director para hacer una buena película porno, con un buen guión y toda la estructura, de quince minutos. Este cambio de modelo es el que se esta llevando mal. ¿Que se esta haciendo ahora?, cogemos lo que tenemos, lo cortamos, o sino rodamos una escena con creatividad muy baja. Si estamos en una fase de cambio de modelo, lo que tenemos que hacer es realizar la creatividad con las pautas que marca el medio. En este sentido creo que no he visto nada. Todo lo más han sido cortes, o escenas pensadas para gonzos, que me encantan los gonzos, pero cuando veo quejarse a los grandes creativos de que ya no se hacen grandes películas de una hora y media y que ahora todo son gonzos de veinte minutos. Y es que pocos aguantan ya delante de una pantalla viendo una película de una hora y media a menos de que seas un pornógrafo de aquellos muy fan del género. En este sentido creo que ante el cambio de modelo, falta que una reacción por parte de las empresas, en la parte de tener la tecnología en la parte que les toca para poder estar en la red. Las productoras ahora están corriendo. IFG con leche69 , Negro y Azul ahora también saldrá con la suya, Antonio Marcos y XCanal ahora han sacado el CanalTV, pero lo que falta para mi es, todo esto ya esta, pero les falta por ejemplo lo que hace Torbe con la serie “Pilladas”, que no deja de ser un gonzo, pero tiene una creatividad. Cuando veo las filmaciones que tiene con Anastasia Mayo, con Bibian Norai, que son verdaderas joyas, pienso que esto es algo pensado para la red. Es la parte de creatividad la que creo que hace falta. No solo ya la parte tecnológica, que creo que se ha llegado tarde si no también en la parte creativa que solo estamos haciendo cortar y pegar.
¿Hay varitas mágicas para solucionar el maleficio del porno?. O por el contrario, ¿no sería mejor un diluvio universal que arrastrase el modelo actual de una industria, que dicen que va a la deriva?.
-Varitas mágicas no hay. Lo que hay es sentido común. Cuando se imponga el sentido común, que es simplemente, un análisis de la realidad pues verán varias cosas. Nuevas etapas no significa abandonar la creatividad, la funcionalidad y la profesionalidad. Y segundo, darse cuenta de que muchos de los problemas que hay, son problemas coyunturales de grupo y que en el momento en que se analicen se encontrarán. Es trabajo básicamente y no cuestión de varitas mágicas. Y lo del diluvio no es la solución ni mucho menos.
Viendo la que esta cayendo a nivel económico en España, ¿crees que hoy en día dedicarse al porno en su faceta de actriz o actor se esta convirtiendo en una labor de alto riesgo?.
-No. Yo creo que el que quiere ser actriz o actor pues lo es, y lo único que hay que hacer es espabilar porque no tienen un problema diferente que los cuatro millones y medio de parados que hay hoy en España. Tienen que sobrevivir y se tienen que espabilar, pero no por valentía o por decir “ahora soy Juana de Arco y soy actor o actriz contra viento y marea” . Sencillamente, la coyuntura es distinta, y se han de espabilar como nos hemos de espabilar todos. Yo gano menos. Tú ganas menos. Todos ganamos menos. Si que es verdad que antes era todo mucho mas fácil para ellos cuando podían hacer cuatro escenas al mes, si las hacían y podían cobrar X dinero. Ahora se tienen que espabilar diversificando. Y como los empresarios, la mayoría de los actores no hacen sus deberes. Paginas web sin contenido y sin actualizar. Si no se han actualizado las empresas, el “star system” español se ha adaptado muy mal. Podemos contar con los dedos de una mano a los actores y actrices que se han espabilado. No es que sean valientes. Es que lo que tienen que hacer son los deberes, como yo, y como tu, y como el resto de las empresas.
Hace pocos días se confirmó un caso de VIH positivo en una performer americana de Los Ángeles. Si esto ocurre allí que es la meca del porno mundial y testean cada 21 días, y sustenta un porcentaje muy alto de la hacienda publica californiana, ¿crees que en España se corre el mismo riesgo de contagio por mala gestión en temas de analítica y profesionalidad al respecto?.
-Sinceramente no. Yo creo que de SIDA no. Pero de enfermedades de transmisión sexual si. El SIDA es lo mas llamativo, pero hoy alguien coge una gonorrea y eso ni siquiera es noticia. Con el SIDA todo el mundo esta muy acojonado y se lo toma mas en serio, pero claro, aquí alguien pilla una gonorrea y parece como que no pasa nada. El problema no es la posibilidad del contagio, sino de la incapacidad del sector de hacer una normativa de obligado cumplimiento. Cuando sean capaces de darse cuenta de que el tema es de vital importancia y de que no se juega con la salud de las personas será cuando se imponga el sentido común de imponer una normativa al respecto. Punto y pelota. Mientras no se haga esto el riesgo de contagio de enfermedades de transmisión sexual es elevado. Si las cuatro asociaciones que hay a nivel mundial se pusiesen de acuerdo, sería bastante simple imponer un protocolo de actuación con una serie de obligaciones, y el riesgo seguramente se eliminaría de un plumazo. ¿Juli Simón se siente más aliviado ahora?.
-No. No es alivio. La responsabilidad es la misma. Alivio sería si te dijese “hemos enterrado el FICEB y por tanto me busco nueva novia” . Pero no, la responsabilidad es que tenemos el proyecto de hacerlo en 2010, que no es fácil, porque creemos que la coyuntura no cambiará, y no se siquiera si será posible, pero vamos a luchar. Podíamos anunciar muchas cosas, pero desde el momento en que decimos que lo trasladamos, la presión sigue. Por tanto, aliviado no, pero contento si. Como mínimo por horas, porque por lo menos ahora he recuperado mi tiempo personal, y no tengo que estar dando tantas explicaciones ni tirar tantas pelotas fuera a amigos y gente que me conoce. Me han llegado a llamar actrices a las cuales ya las habían contratado “para lo de Madrid “. Llamadas de este tipo debo de haber atendido unas quinientas sin exagerarte en los últimos meses, entonces entenderás que por ahí, si que ha habido alivio.
