Many things. I entered the porn industry at a much later age than most other performers. The fact that I’m in complete control of my website and marketing, and the fact I use many unconventional methods to continue to promote myself may be what sets me apart. I have a strong since of love and respect for my fans and supporters – I actually already had a sizable fan base just from my website and webcam shows prior to entering the porn business, and I think that they’ve assisted greatly in my growing popularity. I’ve noticed quite a few women in porn either don’t have a fanbase in the beginning (which can slow down their progression), aren’t aware of of their fanbase, or simply don’t care. I feel communicating with my fans as much as possible is vital, because without the porn fans, there wouldn’t be a porn industry.
When I began working in adult films, I didn’t take just any project that was offered to me. I’ve only worked with studios that I’ve had confidense in, and who have treated me professionally and fairly.
I’m also not a slouch or lazy. I don’t just work when I need money. I work everyday – primarily from home on my online projects and webcam.

I think more than anything, anyone who wants to make a change in their life needs to build (or rebuild) their confidense and since of self worth. When working in the adult industry – especially as a performer – that can be a hard element to maintain.

I’ve always believed in working for myself. It’s an ethic that my parents instilled in me from childhood. For now, adult industry wise, I am only developing content for MonicaF.com – as I said earlier, in a few months I plan to launch my porn studio/label of which I may be performing for. Late 2010 and Early 2011, I plan to place more focus on developing and marketing ethnic adult talents, as currently there isn’t much opportunity for ethnic talent – namely African Americans – within the porn industry.
